Good Morning, Bobcats!

Fact of the Day:  On this day in 1941 at 7:55 AM nearly 200 Japanese aircraft attacked Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and destroyed most of the United States Pacific Fleet.  This day is known as National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

Yesterday's Trivia of the Day was:

Q.  What “spy” hides around the house, reporting back to Santa on who has been naughty and nice?

If you answered "Elf on the Shelf" you were right!

Today's Trivia:  On this day in 1787 which state became the first state of the United States?   Was it:  A.  New York     B.  Massachusetts     C. Delaware    or

 D.  Maryland

The answer will be revealed on Monday,  so do your history checking and see if you can find the answer!

The COU Student Council is asking for the entire COU Faculty and Student Body to help them with a project called "Totes for Hope".  Items are being collected for homeless Veteran's who served our country.  Letters were sent home with the needed items.  Moving Veteran's Forward helps the Veteran's find needed housing in the Council Bluffs/Omaha area.  We would like to fill 10 totes full of supplies for these Veteran's.  Please bring any of the items listed on the sheet to the office or in the boxes in the hallway and we will start to fill each tote!  IF everyone could bring at least one item off the list think of all the good it will bring to our Veterans!  Thank you!

The COU Elementary & Junior High will be presenting their Winter Concerts next week!  They'll be sure to "Deck our Halls" and fill our school with Christmas spirit!  Let's be sure to come and support our music department and all they do!

Don't forget to make Christmas cards or Get Well Cards for Coraline Harding.  The deadline has now been bumped up to Tuesday, December 11th.  Please have all cards turned in to Mrs. Christiansen by the end of that day.  It would mean the world to Coraline to see how many people really care about her and want her to have a Merry Christmas!

Joke of the Day: Q: What’s bigger than an elephant, but doesn’t weigh anything?       A: His shadow.
