Good Morning, Bobcats!

Fact of the Day: Did you know that the lowest temperature on earth was -135.8 degrees Fahrenheit in Antartica in 2010.  Would anyone like to live there???

Yesterday's Trivia of the Day was:  In the early 1800s, the first gingerbread houses were reportedly inspired by what famous fairy tale?

If you answered "Hansel and Gretel" you'd be right.  If you've never heard the story before, check it  out and see if the library has it.  It's a great fairy tale!

Today's Trivia:    Q:   In the TV special “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” what three words best describe the Grinch?

The answer will be revealed tomorrow,  so do some digging or watch the movie and see if you can find the answer!

This is the LAST week and the COU Student Council is asking for the entire COU Faculty and Student Body to help them with a project called "Totes for Hope".  Items are being collected for homeless Veteran's who served our country.  Letters were sent home with the needed items.  Moving Veteran's Forward helps the Veteran's find needed housing in the Council Bluffs/Omaha area.  We would like to fill 10 totes full of supplies for these Veteran's.  Please bring any of the items listed on the sheet to the office or in the boxes in the hallway and we will start to fill each tote!  IF everyone could bring at least one item off the list think of all the good it will bring to our Veterans!  Thank you!

Today is the last day to make Coraline Harding a Christmas card or Get Well card!   Please have all cards turned in to Mrs. Christiansen by the end of the day. It would mean the world to Coraline to see how many people really care about her and want her to have a Merry Christmas!

Joke of the Day: Q: Why was Santa’s helper sad?

A: Because he had low elf-esteem.

There will be a Student Council meeting today at Home Room in Mr. Wood's room.  Basketball girls will be dismissed at 3:45.  Thank you!

Have a GREAT day Bobcats!
