Good Morning, Bobcats
National Open an Umbrella Indoors Day is observed annually on March 13th. One often wonders how superstitions are passed on from one generation to the next. There is an old superstition about opening your umbrella indoors and that it would bring you bad luck. National Open an Umbrella Indoors Day encourages you to do just that and note if you have any bad luck. And what a day for an umbrella! You might just want to keep that handy and open it outside today, too!
Only one more day and it will be Pi Day on March 14th. The 3rd month and the 14th day of the year is a consistent day to celebrate the mathematical constant π. (known as pi) the first three and most recognized digits are 3.14. National Pi Day is celebrated by pi enthusiasts and pie lovers alike! Just remember, your teachers here at COU LOVE pie! (Apple, cherry, peach, pumpkin, banana cream, coconut cream!) If you feel like bringing your teachers a piece of pie that day I don't think they'll turn it away!
Joke of the Day: Did you know that 3.14% of Sailors are PI rates!
Fact of the Day: Did you know that the average pencil can be sharpened 17 times and write about 45,000 words or draw a line 35 miles long before it’s out of service. Give it a try someday and find out for yourself!
Junior High Reading Buddies: If you didn't make it to the meeting yesterday or still have questions, please see Mrs. Christiansen sometime today or tomorrow. Thanks!
Lunch today: Chicken Sandwich, Potato Wedges, Broccoli Medley, Grapes
Breakfast for tomorrow is Bagel and sausage and lunch is Spaghetti w/Meat Sauce, Cheese Breadstick, Romaine salad, Peaches
