Good Morning Bobcats!!! Fact of the Day:  Did you know that there are NO English words that rhyme with purple?

This is Fire Prevention Week. In a typical home fire, you may have as little as one to two minutes to escape safely from the time the smoke alarm sounds. Escape planning and practice can help you make the most of the time you have, giving everyone enough time to get out.  Practice your escape plan today!

Today is known as National Child Health Day.  Each child deserves to be the healthiest he or she can be.  On National Child Health Day, we are reminded of all the ways children grow healthy and strong.  From the food they eat to the words they hear, children require support and opportunities to grow.  Go for a walk, play in a park, do some yard work or participate in activities to promote child health.

Joke of the Day:  Our first joke today comes from Jaydyn French, 4th grader.

Q:  How do bees get to school?

A:  On a School Buzz

Hahaha, good one, Jaydyn!

Our second joke of the day comes from an anonymous student because they forgot to sign their name on their joke.

Q:  When do kangaroos celebrate their birthdays?

A:  On Leap Years!

Way to go!  Great joke!

The COU Student Council wants to hear your jokes!  If you have a funny joke or riddle and would like to share it with the whole school, please submit your jokes to Kim’s office.  If your joke or riddle is chosen it will be announced during the morning announcements and you will get the credit!  Keep them clean & keep them funny!

There will be a Student Council Meeting on Thursday, Oct. 17th, starting right after school until 5:00.

For lunch today is Shrimp poppers, peas, fries, roll, pineapple, and cheese stick.
