Morning Announcements: Thursday, Nov. 14th

Good Morning Bobcats!!!

Fact of the Day:  Did you know that there are 300 bones in a kid’s body, but only 206 bones in a grown-up’s body?  Ask your teacher why this is if you don’t already know!

Another interesting fact:  Did you know that each year in the United States, 5,200,000 pounds of pickles are consumed. What an interesting fact because today is known as National Pickle Day!  Eat as many as you want!

Student Council members are selling green light bulbs as a fundraiser for the Veterans.  Greenlight a Vet buy changing one light bulb in or outside your house to show your support for our Veterans!  Singles are $5 and a double pack is $10.  All proceeds will go to send a Veteran on the Honor Flight.  See a Student Council member or Mrs. Christiansen to get yours today!

Good luck to the Junior High Boys Basketball team tonight!  Go, Fight, Win!

Would you like to win a Thanksgiving Gift Bag filled with goodies?  If so, see if you can match the 18 COU Bobcat students to their correct baby photo. Forms can be picked up & filled out next to the photo case on first floor and turned into the box in Kim’s office.  All correct answers will be entered into the drawing. You can’t win if you don’t enter!

It’s time for 2 Truths and a Lie.  How well did you know Ms. Crall?  If you answered #1 as her lie, she hates to cook, you were right.  That is a lie.  Our lucky winner was 7th grader, Landon Taylor.  You may come to the office and claim your prize.

Today we are featuring Cathy Carstens.  How much do you know about her?  Can you guess which of these statements is her LIE? #1.   I took my brothers motorcycle without permission and totaled it.

#2.  I had the game winning shot at a regional basketball game.

#3.  I twirled fire batons at halftime of my high school football games.

If you think you know which statement is not true about Mrs. Cathy Carstens, submit your answers to the container in Kim’s Office but you MUST HAVE your name and grade level on the answer!!  A winner will be announced tomorrow.

For lunch today is: Chicken & biscuits, peas, peaches and a cookie.

Breakfast for tomorrow is:  Roll & yogurt

Lunch for tomorrow is:  Pizza, lettuce salad, corn and mandarin oranges.
