Good Morning Bobcats!!!

Interesting Fact of the Day:  Did you know that CITIES ARE FORCED TO DISPOSE OF SNOW IN CREATIVE WAYS?  When snow piles up too high for cities to manage, it’s usually hauled away to parking lots or other wide-open spaces where it can sit until the weather warms up. During particularly snowy seasons, cities are sometimes forced to dump snow in the ocean, only to be met with criticism from environmental activists. Some cities employ snow melters that use hot water to melt 30 to 50 tons of snow an hour. This method is quick but costly—a single machine can cost $200,000 and burn 60 gallons of fuel in an hour of use.

Today is known as National CELEBRATION OF LIFE DAY.

Celebration of Life Day on January 22nd honors the children and grandchildren who bring joy to our lives. The day is a reminder that each child and each life is to be held as a precious gift with the highest respect and dignity.

Children grow up so quickly. They’re constantly learning new things and changing daily. Each day they delight us with their simple wisdom and observations. By spending time with children and demonstrating the care and love they deserve, we celebrate their life.

Joke of the Day:  Q: Why did the boy only wear one snow boot? A: There was only a 50% chance of snow.

Teachers,

We are looking for students from your classrooms who you think would do a great job of leading us in the pledge of allegiance each morning.  If you’d like to nominate a student, submit your student’s name to Mrs. Christiansen and she will pick one lucky student each day to lead our entire school in the pledge over the intercom system.  Thanks!

Breakfast for tomorrow is:  Cereal & yogurt

Lunch for tomorrow is:  Hot dog on a bun, baked beans, chips, mandarin oranges and a cookie.
