Today we celebrate Monsters, Inc. Day. How many different monsters are roaming the halls of COU today? Student Council members will be coming around during 1st period today to take pictures of all the monsters. Teachers are reminded to mark down all the students in their classroom who dressed up. Mya Goslar will be coming around to pick up your class rosters at the end of 1st period today.
The class that has the highest percentage of students who dress up throughout the week will receive a super COOL surprise!
Here are the standings so far:
8th grade is in the lead with 67%
Ms. Christiansen’s 2nd Grade Class is in 2nd place with 42%
And Mr. Lally’s 4th grade class is in 3rd place with 35%.
Other class standings are as follows:
Kindergarten: 18%, 1st Grade: 19%, Ms. Ransom’s 2nd Grade: 0%, 3rd Grade: 27%,
5th Grade: 26%, 6th Grade: 21%, 7th Grade: 25% and the Faculty/Staff has 16%.
Tomorrow is Class Color Day. 8th graders wear black, 7th graders wear white, 6th grade is blue, 5th grade is red, 4th grade is yellow, 3rd grade is green , 2nd grade is pink, 1st grade is purple, Kindergarten is orange and faculty/staff is navy. The parade is also tomorrow for the elementary grades at 2:45. Please line-up out in front of the school at 2:40 so we are ready to go by 2:45. In case of rain we will parade around the gym.
Each day this week we will also be having Homecoming Trivia. If you know the answer to our Homecoming Trivia question please put your answer, along with your name and grade level on a slip of paper and put it in the Homecoming Trivia bag in Kim’s Office. A winner will be drawn from all the correct answers. Yesterday’s question was Who was Charter Oak-Ute’s last Homecoming King and Queen? The answer was: Casey Carstens and Joe Armijo. Our lucky winner is: You may stop by Kim’s office and pick up your prize!
Here’s today’s Homecoming Trivia Question: “What game did we play last year in the gym as a kick-off to Homecoming week? Please be specific.

There will be a short Pep Rally in the Gym at 1:10 today by the MVAOCOU Cheerleaders.
There will also be a FUNDRAISER Kick-Off meeting in the gym at 2:15.
Student Council Group #1 is in charge of Recycling this month. Please be sure to have your recycling set out in the hallway after school today and Student Council members will be around first thing Wednesday morning to pick it up. Thanks!
