Good Morning Bobcats!!!

Fact of the Day:  Did you know that penguins are the only birds that can swim but not fly?

If you have red hair then today is your day!  Today is known as National Love your Red Hair Day.  Celebrate being a redhead because only 2% of the population falls into this category!   Today is also known as National Doughnut Day!  Glazed, powdered, chocolate, sprinkles, nuts, frosted, or plain….anyway you like them!  Today is the day of the doughnut!

Joke of the Day:  Our first joke today is to honor Mr. Morley.                                                               Q:  What does Mr. Morley, our junior high math teacher, like to eat?                        A:  Square meals!

Our second joke of the day come from Mylee Lingle.                                               Q:  What should you do if it’s cold in the room?                                                        A:  Go to the corner because it’s always 90 degrees there!                                Hahaha, good one, Mylee!

The COU Student Council would like to thank everyone who has submitted jokes!  We will take a break from our jokes for awhile in order to bring you something new called Two Truths and A Lie. Listen tomorrow for more details.

The COU Student Council is also hosting a contest in the month of November.  Several parents submitted baby photos of their COU Bobcats.  They are displayed on first floor on the bulletin board across from the Kindergarten lockers.  For a chance to win a Thanksgiving Gift Bag filled with goodies see if you can match the students to their correct baby photo.  Any age may enter.  Number your paper from 1 to 18 and the names are listed right below the bulletin board.  All correct answers will be entered into the drawing.  You may submit your answers to the bag in Kim’s office.  You can’t win if you don’t enter!  Good luck to everyone!

The COU Junior High will be presenting Laffin’ School and the Paper Bag Bandit Rides Again on Friday, November 8th at 7:00 pm.  There will be a Soup Supper before the play from 5 – 6:30 pm in the lunchroom.  Free will donations are going towards the 7th & 8th grade MVAOCOU Washington D.C. trip.  Come on out and show your support and enjoy a night of comedy!
