
Just an update on the homecoming y-shirts


Congratulations to our Bobcat winners! They were the lucky winners drawn at lunch today who predicted that the ISU Cyclones would win the game on Saturday!!!

Sports season is upon us here at CO-U. Tomorrow marks the first Match and Meet of the school year. Our JH Volleyball team plays against Woodbine, starting at 4pm at CO-U. Our Cross Country team hits the road for their first meet at Sibley-Ocheyedan beginning at 4:30pm. Go Cats!



COU seems to heavily favor the Hawkeyes. Good luck to both teams this year!


Congratulations to our Football Bingo winners! Ms. Ransom's 3rd Grade Class and Mrs. Green's 4th Grade Class. These two classes beat out the entire school to claim victory! Whoop Whoop!

Today 3rd grade learned how plants grow flowers! We made our own flowers and bees and pollinated them. We got to observe the different pollens that were attached to our sticky stigmas! 🌸🌼

Students are encouraged to wear Hawkeye colors (black and yellow) or Cyclone colors (red and yellow) to school tomorrow to support the team they want to win in Saturday's game.

A big thank you to UBI for the sweet treats this morning. The staff were surprised and delighted by the many boxes of delicious doughnuts. Thank you for making our day brighter.


NWAEA staff will be completing hearing screenings this year on Sept. 9th, for students in Pre-K (4s), K, 1st and 5th grade. Re-screening will be on Sept. 27th. Parents will be notified only if there is a concern regarding the results of the screenings. Please notify the administration, or secretary, in writing, if you do not want your child to participate in the annual screenings.


What an eventful 1st week. From heat advisories, to bad water, to no water, to tornadic winds! We survived. Thank you to all the staff, students and families who worked hard and supported us this week. We couldn't do it without you. Enjoy your Labor Day weekend and remember No School on Monday.

Due to a water main break, and no water in our building, Charter Oak-Ute will not have school August 28, 2024. Thank you for your understanding.

4's Preschool 1st day of school!


The city of Charter Oak is under a boil advisory. We will have bottled water for students tomorrow and until the boil advisory is over. Please have your students bring their water bottles full in order to help with issue if at all possible. Thank you!
