5th Grade Title Reading: Sign of the Beaver book projects

This month, our STEM challenge required us to use our engineering design model to see what group could make the longest chain using only one piece of paper! We worked great in teams today and leaned a lot. Thanks Mrs. Thies!

WIPCO Trip

In an effort to make-up lost instructional time and to avoid going to school after Memorial Day and possibly into June, Charter Oak Ute CSD will be adjusting the school calendar to make-up time lost to snow days.
Starting this Wednesday, March 6th we will no longer be having late starts. School will start at the regular time on all Wednesdays the rest of this school year. We will also now hold classes on Thursday, April 18th. That was originally scheduled a vacation day over Easter break. With the day that was made-up last Friday, and these calendar changes, the last day of school will still be May 24th as originally scheduled. If we have any more snow days between now and the end of the school year, they will be added on after Memorial Day.

Learning life lessons from Bartholomew and the Oobleck:
1) Say “I’m sorry” when you’re wrong.
2) Don’t eat strange chemicals.
Thanks Mrs. Thies and Mr. Morley!

We played our own game of Hop on Pop! We’re worn out after trying to pop each other’s balloons.

Making butter takes a lot of team work!
