It's time for our weekly Staff Spotlight, where we take time to introduce one of our amazing staff members to you, our community. We hope you enjoy getting to know us a little better.
Today we introduce the wonderful Mrs. Kayla Green. She is our amazing 2nd grade teacher. This her 1st year teaching at CO-U and her 4th year coaching our JH girls basketball team. When asked what she loved most about working here she stated “COU feels like home. We have a wonderful staff and an exceptional group of kids! I love all the people.”
Kayla stated that although she is new to the teaching staff, she has been involved in the school in some capacity her entire life. Advice she would give to incoming staff is to embrace the people around you and never hesitate to ask questions! When stopping by the school lunchroom her favorite meal is pizza.
Outside of school Kayla enjoys spending time, in Ute, with her family, which includes her husband, 3 boys and 1 baby girl. In her free time she states her kids’ activities keep her busy. She also enjoys being outdoors and getting involved in the community and school events.
