In town bus stops will be the following times and locations:

City Hall in Soldier:
Solider town bus stop is 7:25 am. Drop off in Soldier is 4:15 pm
Bus #10 or #1

The school in Charter Oak:
Charter Oak town bus stop is 7:30 am and returns around 4:00 pm
This is bus #34

The Town and Country in Ute:
Ute town bus and exchange is at 7:50 am and returns at 3:45 pm.

The babysitters stops in Ute (McAndrews, Savery - Bus #34) (Carlsons - Bus #1 or #10) are after the AM pick up time in Ute, and before the afternoon Drop off time in Ute.

Good morning everyone! Please read the entire message as there is a lot of information. Nate Lefebvre, Ryan Gotto and Josh Koenigs will be coaching the JH football team this year. We are very excited to start practice on Monday after school.

This Friday from 4-6 we will have equipment check out for everyone that can make it at the elementary school in Mapleton in the gym on the stage. After checkout we will take the boys to the high school locker room that they will be getting ready at for practice to familiarize them with the space and find a designated space for their pads. I will have pizza for the Boys to eat after we are done. I encourage everyone to attend the football scrimmage at the high school football field vs Westwood at 7:00. I would like us all to sit as a team and cheer on our Rams High School football squad.

If you haven't got your physicals done yet please do so as soon as possible. You will not be able to participate in practice until you have one turned into the school.

I know not everyone is on this Band yet so please pass along this information to anyone you know that is playing this year.

MVAO COU will be hosting a football camp for grades 2 through 8 Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9-11 this coming week. COU students that need a ride, a bus will leave the school in Charter Oak at 8:00, the Town and Country in Ute at 8:15, and City Hall in Soldier at 8:30. We will pick students up after camp and bring them back to these locations as well. Sorry about the short notice, but thank you for your understanding.

Reminder, registration starts Monday August 4 from 10am until 6 pm. We will have registration also the rest of the week from 8am until 4pm, except Friday will be 8am until 12pm.

Also, tomorrow, August 1, is the last day we will be serving meals for the summer.

Here is the school supply list for the 2025-2026 school year! Have a great end to your summer, and we look forward to seeing you in the fall. Registration will be August 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. On August 4 we will be here from 10 am until 6 pm. On the 5th, 6th, and 7th we will be here from 8 am until 4 pm. Lastly on the 8th we will be here from 8 am until 12 pm. Hello Everyone, the results are in for the local conservation contest! I am proud to announce that our Charter Oak - Ute students grades 2-5 were top 3 for each grade. The results are in the picture below. The posters will be displayed at the Monona County Fair next week. Parents and students can pick them up from the fair or from the conservations Onawa office. The checks will be signed at their meeting on July 16th by the commissioners and will be mailed after. Thank you so much for all the students that participated, you all did a fantastic job! Go Bobcats!

This summer school crew has worked hard to learn how to count change this year. To showcase what they've learned, they are having a lemonade stand in the hallway of the school till about 11:15 today!

Reminder Summer School starts tomorrow and will be every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for the month of June. Soldier students will be picked up at 8:00 am at City Hall, and Ute students will be picked up around 8:15 at babysitter hill and on Main St. at the babysitter. Drop off will be at 12:15 in Ute and 12:30 in Soldier. Thank you and have a great day!

Reminder summer food service starts June 2 and will run until August 1. Breakfast is 8-9 am and Lunch is 11:30-12:30 pm. All children 0-18 can eat for free. Thank you.
